Data-Import | Data-Export
In addition to product management, the primary task of ComBinder PIM is the export of product data to various output channels (print/advertising material, BMEcat catalogues) and to shop systems (web shops). Adequate export modules and workflows are available for this task.
Data export | Targets
Data Export | BMEcat Catalogues
Electronic catalogs in BMEcat format are the silver bullet in the exchange of product data with B2B customers. ComBinder supports the BMEcat data model (XML format) in variants 1.2 and 2005. In addition, the classification catalogs ETIM and eCl@ss are available to ensure a standardized classification of the products.
Data export | Print catalogues
The classic advertising media for B2B and B2C customers are print catalogs, leaflets and brochures. For this purpose, ComBinder generates IDML files which are then processed in Adobe InDesign, VivaDesigner or QuarkExpress. The print export is set up like a CMS, i.e. templates are used for the placement of the product data (image, text, price). These templates are also made available to ComBinder via IDML file and are not bound to any restrictions in terms of design. Furthermore, price lists, keyword lists and indexes can be derived for catalog creation.
Another export product is data sheets. These can be generated in electronic form as ePUB, Word or ODF.
Data export | Webshops
The third path in the export, the transfer to another system, is the export to the web store. The ComBinder supports the common webshop systems (Shopware5/6, Adobe Commerce (Magento2), WooCommerce, Ebay). By classifying and structuring the product data in ComBinder, special stores, for example, can be easily implemented.
